Wiseheart Compass Education and Training Programs

Mindfulness Skills & Movement Waiver

All Wiseheart Compass education and training programs utilise evidence informed integration of mindfulness practice, self-compassion exercises and applied attachment theory training. While Dr Rebecca Coleman is a registered clinical psychologist, all Wiseheart Compass trainings, courses and products (purchased or free/no charge) offered by the company are not a psychological service. The education, training and skills shared within Wiseheart Compass programs are not intended to be a substitute for professional psychological, psychiatric, or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If at any time during one of the Wiseheart Compass programs, you experience any emotional and/or physical discomfort or strain, discontinue the activity, and if required, ask for support from the trainer. At times, the Wiseheart Compass programs will require gentle physical movement, mindfulness movement and mindful

stretching exercises. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury is present and cannot be entirely eliminated.

Furthermore, mindfulness based skills can pose risks for people currently experiencing symptoms of clinical depression (e.g., depressed mood, poor concentration,

excessive guilt/low self-worth, hopelessness about the future, suicidal thoughts, tired/low energy, sleep disruption) or symptoms of psychosis (e.g., hallucinations, mania, delusions or disorganised thinking leading to loss of contact with reality). Always seek the advice of your physician, psychologist, or other qualified mental health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or mental health issue.

Wiseheart Compass is not a psychological service and is not a substitute for individual physical or psychological therapy, or medical examination, diagnosis or treatment. The Wiseheart Compass Program may not be safe for those with certain medical or psychological conditions. We advise that you consult with your relevant health

practitioner and gain written clearance prior to commencing lessons if you are experiencing symptoms that may place you at risk.
